No malpractices reported on day one of SSLC Exams

Mysuru: The day one of SSLC exam at Mysuru and Chamarajanagar passed off peacefully without any cases of malpractices reported.

SSLC exams commences smoothly in various centers in Udupi District For the first language paper on day one, in Mysuru district, out of 39732 students who were supposed to attend the exam, 37959 students appeared at 134 examination centres. Over 1773 students were found absent. Earlier, students used to write the exams in a booklet inclusive of both question papers and answer sheets but from this year they are given separate booklets. To keep tab on malpractices, apart from regular squads, district level and state level counterparts were pressed into inspection.

SP Nagaraj, Nodal officer for SSLC exam, Mysuru district said, “The exams went off peacefully without any incident of malpractices. No student was found late for the exam that is even after 15 minutes grace time. Among 134 examination centres, CCTV cameras were installed in 54 centres. The distribution of question papers started at 7.30 am and to start with, we dispatched the question papers to far off places on priority.”

Manjula, DDPI, Chamarajanagar district said that among 11850 students who were supposed to attend the exams at 43 centres, 11205 appeared for the exams while 645 were found absent.
