Mysuru: World badminton champion P V Sindhu inaugurated the Mysuru Dasara Sports on Tuesday, October 1 at the Chamundi Vihar Stadium.
On the same evening, she also inaugurated the Yuva Dasara at the Maharaja’s College Grounds, which is a show that involves music and dance from big names in the entertainment industry.
Speaking at the inauguration of the sports events, Sindhu advised parents to encourage and support their children to build their career in sports and said that hard work always pay off.
She also threw light on her success story.
During the event, Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa and other guests received the sports torch and flagged off the Mysuru Dasara Sports events.
Meanwhile, Sindhu, who was on her maiden visit to the “Palace City”, said that she had heard that the city is very clean and she was glad to be there.
