Mysuru: Rapper Chandan Shetty and Niveditha Gowda, a final year degree student from a private college in Mysuru who hit headlines following their on-screen romance in Kannada Bigg Boss season six, are now officially engaged. During the ongoing Mysuru Dasara Youth Dasara event, Shetty proposed to Gowda on stage, in front of thousands of people.
Shetty, who is on a high following the success of his recent album “Shokiwala”, asked Gowda to marry him and placed a diamond ring on her finger.
Speaking about the proposal, Chandan Shetty later stated that he wanted to propose her while they were abroad, but was not able to do so.
“My parents are here. Her parents are also here. I am thrilled to propose to her in front of everyone,” he said.
