Mystery deepens over KIIT student’s tragic fall

The final rites of KIIT student Arnab Mukherjee, who lost his life after tumbling from a rooftop, were carried out today at Puri’s Swargadwara. His father, Jagdish Mukherjee, clarified that the institution’s administration bears no accountability for the untimely demise of his son. He also mentioned that KIIT authorities have pledged complete assistance in the ongoing police inquiry.

Arnab’s funeral took place at the Swargadwara cremation ground, where grieving loved ones gathered to bid farewell. His father reiterated that the university officials are in no way liable for his tragic end. Expressing faith in the institution, he stated, “KIIT authorities have assured unwavering support to law enforcement in probing my son’s case.”

Amid the sorrow, uncertainty looms large over the circumstances surrounding the B.Tech student’s fall. It remains unclear whether his death resulted from foul play or was an act of self-harm. Only after a thorough police probe will the truth emerge.

A post-mortem examination was conducted in the presence of the family and a Magistrate. However, the final autopsy report is still awaited, which is expected to shed light on the cause of death. Until then, speculation continues to swirl around this tragic incident.
