Mystery Shrouds Death of 75-Year-Osld Woman in HSR Layout

In a puzzling early-morning incident on Sunday, a 75-year-old woman, Vijaylakshmi, was found dead outside her residence in 7th Sector, HSR Layout, Bengaluru. Authorities believe she died between 3:30 am and 4:00 am.

The discovery was reported by her daughter Pramila, who lives in KR Puram. Pramila was away at the time and learned of the incident through other family members. The cause of Vijaylakshmi’s death remains uncertain.

Preliminary police findings lean towards either a suicide or an accidental fall from the third floor of the home. “While she appeared mentally sound and had no known history of depression, we are exploring if age-related health issues may have contributed to a misstep,” a senior officer noted.

The tragedy is further compounded by Vijaylakshmi’s recent personal losses. She had lost her husband three years ago and both her sons just over a year ago. At the time of her death, she was living with her daughters-in-law and two grandsons in the three-storey home.

Police are conducting a thorough investigation, including examining the scene and speaking with household members to determine whether the fall was intentional or accidental. A case has been registered by the HSR Layout police.

The family awaits further clarity as authorities continue their probe into the unsettling circumstances surrounding the elderly woman’s death.
