
Navadurga Lekhana Yajna Held for Kapu Sri Hosa Marigudi Temple Renovation
Udupi: The Navadurga Lekhana Yajna Sankalpa programme was held today at the Jagannath Sabha Bhavan of the Badagabettu Credit Co-operative Society, marking a significant event in the renovation activities of the Kapu Sri Hosa Marigudi Temple. This event was organized in collaboration with various local co-operative societies, including Badagabettu Credit Co-operative Society, Udupi Industrial Co-operative Society, Gurunithyananda Credit Co-operative Society, and Udupi Housing Co-operative Society.
The ceremony began with nine representatives from these organizations lighting the ceremonial Navadeepa lamps and offering prayers to the deity. Jayakar Shetty Indrali, president of the Badagabettu Society, welcomed the gathering and provided an overview of the programme.
Manohar S Shetty, vice president of the Kapu Hosa Marigudi Temple Development Committee, shared insights on the blessings of Kapu Mariyamma, while K Raghupathi Bhat, president of the Navadurga Lekhana Yajna Committee, explained the significance, procedure, and benefits of the Lekhana Yajna.
The event was graced by several dignitaries, including Geetanjali Suvarna, chief women coordinator of the Navadurga Lekhana Yajna Committee, and prominent leaders from the co-operative societies. Praveen Kumar, assistant general manager of Badagabettu Society, served as the event’s compere, with Rajesh V Sherigar, general manager, delivering the vote of thanks to conclude the successful programme.
