Dubai: The 40th episode of NewsKarnataka.com’s Namaste Teacher was held on Friday September 16 at 6.30 pm IST.
The guest teacher for the evening was Chandrika Mallya. The special guests of the evening were her students, Anjali Baliga, Laxmi Pai and Sudha, all homemakers.
The event host was Kiran Nirkan.
Through teacher-student interaction, the series strives to highlight teachers and their impact on students. The programme was premiered on NewsKarnataka.com’s Facebook and YouTube channels.
Kiran Nirkan introduced the guests and welcomed them. Teacher Chandrika Mallya reminiscing her teaching career said, “Initially I didn’t practice yoga aiming to be a teacher. But my practice was for self. It was a camp that turned out be a push factor towards my yoga career.”
Sudha shared, “I dont feel that Chandrika ma’am is my teacher because of her friendly nature. She keeps herself busy with several activities. Her soft spoken nature, always smiling face inspires me to be like her.”
Laxmi Pai expressed, “Along teaching yoga she is also my personal guide and has become my best friend. It is because of Chandrika teacher that I was able to find out the talent within me,” she said.
“The optimum utilisation of time for a homemaker is taught to me by Chandrika ma’am,” said Anjali Baliga.
Discipline, Forgiveness and Kindness will make a better teacher,” highlighted teacher Chandrika Mallya.
