‘I should have began learning music early in life’

Dubai: The 39th episode of NewsKarnataka.com’s talk show ‘Sunday Celebrity’ was held on Sunday September 25 at 8.00 pm IST.

The guest for the evening was Hemachandra Yermal, Singer & Musician, Naada Lahari Musicals – Mumbai. Floyd Kiran was the host for the event.

The programme was premiered on NewsKarnataka.com’s Facebook and YouTube channels.

Hemachandra Yermal recalling the root towards music quoted, “A home is the first school and parents are the first teachers,” likewise the Bhajana tradition in the houses of Karavali Karnataka led me towards singing, he added.

He also shared his skill over various musical instruments and shed light on the working of his musical institute.

In the ”Celebrity Favourites” segment he shared, ‘We as a team were tried to be defeated in the music competition through the manipulation of rules which indeed was a difficult phase but I request people to not involve in such cheap gimmicks in the field to demotivate others.

As a regret he said, ” I began studying music at my 40s and think should have initiated it earlier.”

As a musical treat to the audience Hemachandra Yermal sang Kannada and Tulu songs along with showcasing his skill of playing the flute.

Hemachandra appreciated the initiative of NewsKarnataka. Kiran Nirkan expressing best wishes signed off.
