‘Viloence in the name of religion hurts a lot’

Dubai: The 41st episode of’s talk show ‘Sunday Celebrity’ was held on Sunday October 9 at 8.00 pm IST.

The guest for the evening was Rafiq Ali Kodagu, Social Worker, Dubai. Floyd Kiran was the host for the event.

The programme was premiered on’s YouTube channels.

Rafiq Ali Kodagu speaking on his inspiration towards spreading Kannada language and social service expressed, “It is because of Karnataka, Kannada and Kannadigas. Leaving home town enhanced my attachment towards the language of the State. As I grew up experiencing poverty, so I know the difficulties of poor. My mother and brothers too Instilled in me the kindness towards economically lower section.”

In the “‘Celebrity Favourites” session he shared, “Fulfilling the Haj pilgrimage of my parents was the best moment in my life, where as, the current growth of violence in the name of religion hurts a lot,” he expressed.

As a wish he said, “We have been working in order to establish Kannada Bhavana at Dubai by the Government of Karnataka. This will not only help in organising programmes but will also ease our work of facilitating a stay to the deceited Kannadigas in Dubai.” He cautioned the Kannadigas to not fall prey for fake job offers and suggested to do the background study of the individual who sends visa prior entering Dubai.
