Mangaluru: Thank You Karnataka is a series of programmes organised to celebrate the decennial year of News Karnataka and thus thank Kannadigas all over the globe for supporting the Spearhead Media Group to achieve this milestone.
One of the programmes under Social Work, Education & Practice in India, a show that throws light on social work and education is aired every Tuesday.
The guest of the second episode which aired on October 18 is Dr. Gracy Fernandes, DHM, Former VP Nirmala Niketan Institute, Mumbai, Former Director Research, School of Social Service, Madagascar. The anchor person for the programme is Brian Fernandes, Director, Spearhead Media Group.

Dr. Gracy Fernandes, In her introductory note of the segment, shed light on the island of Madagascar and the cultural significance of the land.
She also shared the belief of a bad omen that existed among the tribes of Madagascar and its effect on the twin children of the tribe.
Dr. Gracy Fernandes expressed joy and gratitude to share the success of her initiative with the UN taking up the issue of twins being considered as a bad omen in the family and giving the twins their right to existence.
