Vathika Pai says to break stereotypes, think out of the box

Mangaluru: Thank You Karnataka is a series of programmes organised to celebrate decennial year of NewsKarnataka and thus thank Kannadigas all over the globe for supporting the Spear Head Media Group to achieve the milestone.

One of the programme under Thank You Karnataka series is The Womenia, a show which promotes women of impact, entrepreneurs and achievers. The programme was aired on Thursday August 4.

The guest of the first episode was Vathika Pai, Head of Operations, Nirmala Travels and Proprietor, Vathika International Travels. The anchor person for the programme was Ananya Hegde.

The programme was premiered on NewsKarnataka.com’s Facebook and YouTube channels.

Vathika Pai sharing her childhood memories expressed, “My parents come from a travel Industry and in my childhood, I too travelled with my parents and also I always looked forward to it.”

Speaking about her Tabla classes she said, “The boy playing Tabla in the temple stirred my mind to learn it and my mom ensured to get me the best teacher for the same. As Tabla is one form of music which is male-dominated my teacher too was skeptical about me playing it but I was successful.”

“Ups and downs are the part and parcel of every business. When it comes to ups I ensure not to pride over it and when it is lows in business, it should be received as learning lessons,” she said.

Talking about balancing family life and business she shared, “A supporting family is the one which motivates me to do things even at times when I become skeptical about initiating the same.”

Vathika Pai called Covid as a significant lesson in her business, as the pandemic taught the entire world to be one and what is essential is to be present for someone’s need.

Vathika Pai as an advice to the Women Entrepreneurs stated, “Go break the stereotypes, think out of the box. Receive the demotivations in life as fuel on the fire.”
