KSQ’s annual Floodlit Cricket Tourney ‘Karnataka Cup 2015’ to be held from April 14

Doha: Karnataka Sangha Qatar (KSQ) is all set to host the Sixth annual floodlit cricket tournament “Karnataka Cup 2015” from 14 to 23rd April at Old Ideal Indian School Grounds.

This year  12 major teams are going to compete for prestigious Karnataka Cup. The group fixtures for the tournament were drawn during the gathering which was held at Qatar Grand Palace Hotel on April 6. Participating team captains, team Managers and KSQ organizing committee members were present.

Qatar Veterans Coordinator Murthy read out rules and regulations of the matches. Sports secretary Anil Bolur compered the event. Mahesh Gowda, General Secretary proposed vote of thanks. Dr. Sanjay Kudri – Chief coordinator of the Tournament and V S Mannangi- Chairman Advisory Board were present on the stage.

KSQ president Deepak Shetty announced that  the grand opening ceremony for the tournament  will be held on the 14th April Tuesday 6.30PM at Old Indian School Ground will be  and invited team supporters in good strength.

Deepak shetty also announced that, Mr. Kiran Shankar More, Ex-Indian Cricketer and the former Chairman of BCCI will be gracing the Final Day of the Tournament.

The participating teams are as follows-
Group A: A1  – M PALLONJI, A2- AL MUFTAH, A3- HANAN
Group B: B1- CENTURIAN CRICKET CLUB, B2-QDC, B3-KARNATAKA BULLS
Group C: C1-QATARTECH, C2-KERALA XI, C3-TUSKERS
Group D: D1-CBQ, D2-TULUKOOTA, D3-SERENDEB

M Pallonji & Alma Qatar are Event Sponsors and Al-Muftah Group, QDC and Doha Bank are Main sponsors of the Tournament.
