State awardee, saxophonist Anjali Shanbhogue to perform live in Dubai on April 14

Dubai: Well known young prodigy saxophonist, Anjali Shanbhogue who has become a household name in India is all set to rock Dubai with her maiden presence in a show to be presented by Rythm Events on Friday, April 14 to be held at Emirates English Speaking School, Al Safa, Dubai.

The daylong family get-together programme will have a variety of folk, filmy, classical dances, skits & instrumental music performances by families and children. Dances by Ocean Kids will be an added attraction. Saxophonist Anjali Shanbhogue is bound to mesmerize the audience with her magical renditions on the Saxophone to a variety of melodious songs from yester years as well as current hits. She will be accompanied by Rajesh Srinivas Bhagwath Mulki in the percussion, J. Deepak on the Key board and Vaman Kumar with the Rhythm Pad.

Anjali Shanbhogue

21-year-old, Anjali Shanbhogue is the proud daughter of Narayana and Nayana Shanbhogue, a couple from Udupi, Karnataka and is the staunch disciple of well known Guru Saxophone player Shri Sunder Sherigar. While pursuing her B.E. studies at N.M.A.I.T. Institute of Technology, Nitte, she continues with her passion towards music and devotes her time evenly between these two.

Anjali started her music career as a saxophonist at the very tender age of 8. She has given more than 1000 performances all around India in places like Mumbai, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Coimbatore, Hyderabad etc.

She won the heart of Dharmadikari Shree Virendra Heggade during her performance in Dharmasthala for Lakshadeepotsava at the age of 9 who presented her with a gold chain as a sign of appreciation. During her concert in Koteshwar, she had been blessed by his holiness late Shri Sudheendra Theertha Swamiji, the head of Kashi mutt with the golden coin. She also has to her credit many musical CDs available in market . ‘SWARANJALI’, ’ALAIPAYADE’, ’MELODY IS ON’ etc., are some of them.

She has participated in many of the music competitions held all over Karnataka and has bagged many awards. She secured 94% in the junior grade Carnatic instrumental music exam. She also had a great opportunity of being a part among the musicians to perform on the occasion of ‘Bhimsen Joshi Smrithi Din’ held at Mumbai some time ago.

•“Kalanjali” by the Rotary club of Manipal.
•“State Award” by the Government of Karnataka.
•“Karnataka Chethana” by Jnana Mandara, the cultural and educational trust of Bangalore.

Rajesh Srinivas Bhagvath Mulki

Started his tabla career at the age of 5 under the guidance of Vidwan Madhav Acharya Udupi.
Having secured top rank in whole of Karnataka in junior and senior levels in 1997, he is presently the ‘B’ high-graded artist in All India Radio Mangalore. He even got the opportunity to learn under the guidance of the Tabla maestro Pandit Omkarnath Gulwady, Mumbai. He has given about 3000 shows all over India and Middle East countries.

Besides accompanying various classical artists like Puttur Narsimha Nayak, Pandit Jayateertha Mevundi, Pandit Anand Bhate, Pandit Rahul Deshpande etc. among others, Rajesh has also accompanied various Sandalwood and Bollywood singers like S. Janaki, Alka Yagnik, Kunaal Ganjawala, Vijay Prakash, Himesh Reshammiya, Malgudi Shubha, K S Chithra etc. He has been one of the regular musician associated with Sandalwood music directors like Gurukiran, Praveen D Rao etc. Being a Tabla artist he plays many percussions like Dholak, Djembe, Congo, Cajon, Acoustic drums etc.

J. Deepak

J. Deepak started his music career as Keyboardist at the age of 15. He pursued his initial keyboard lessons from his father A. Jayasheelan. He has worked as Keyboardist with most of the well-known playback singers like Dr. Rajkumar, P.B. Srinivas, S.P. Balasubramaniam, K.S. Chitra, S. Janaki, Vijay Prakash and many others. He has also worked with the most renowned music directors like Gurukiran, Arjun Janya, Manomurthy, Sadhu Kokila etc. in their compositions for many films. Has given more than 5000 shows all over India and Middle East countries. Recently he also had a great opportunity to perform in U.S.A with the well-groomed musicians. He is also the most regular artist in various All India Radio Stations.

Vaman Kumar

Vaman Kumar started his music career as Rhythm Padist at the age of 17. He pursued his initial music lessons from his guru H. Sakharam. He then updated himself with the higher musical skills on his own. He has given more than 5000 shows all over India and Middle East countries. He has been one of the regular Rhythm Padist representing Karnataka in most of the music shows taking place all around. He has also accompanied most well-known Bollywood and Sandalwood Singers. He also had the opportunity to work with Puttur Narsimha Nayak, one of the well-known singers. Gurukiran, Praveen D Rao etc are some of the music directors with whom he has worked with. He has also worked for reality shows in some of the television channels. Along with Rhythm pad, he also plays acoustic drums.
