Dubai: Ajit Tendulkar, the man who guided the legendary Sachin Tendulkar to the path of glory will be taking part in Gulf Premier League (GPL).
The master blaster’s elder brother and mentor, who interacted with the organisers of GPL in Dubai recently, said that he would love to take part at least in one exhibition match as part of GPL.
Shaikh Mohammed Sharif, Chairman, Khushi Group and the GPL Chief Patron & Chairman, GPL President Sadhiq Kaup, GPL Secretary Canute Kelarai and Executive committee members of GPL Niyaz and Sabir, were present on the occasion.
Appreciating the cricket enthusiasts in UAE for keeping the hard tennis ball cricket format alive, Tendulkar said that there is a great prospect for young cricketers to shine in this form of cricket. “I also love playing this form of cricket,” he said.
GPL is scheduled to be held on October 15 and 16 at the ICC Ground, Sports City, Dubai. Eight top teams from Middle East countries will participate in the first of its kind tournament. News Karnataka is one of the media partners for the tournament and will be keeping you updated with the event.
