Annual general meeting of Thai Kannada Balaga held at Bangkok

Bangkok, February 26: The annual general meeting of Thai Kannada Balaga (TKB) was held at Indian Host hotel here on Sunday, February 23.

At the meeting, Sreeram Kempanna, was elected as president, Ambika Subramanya as secretary and Roshan Naveen Pinto, Balmatta as Treasurer for next two years (2014-2016). The former officer-bearers Mukund Rao, Ravi M B, Mohan Das, Habibulla Katpady Vinaya rai and Vincy Daniel Pinto were present on the occasion.

TKB came into existence in 2002 and has successfully completed 11 years. It is a socio-cultural organization to foster the culture of Karnataka, India in Thailand.

There are about 150 families from Karnataka living all over the Thailand. TKB works very hard to bring them together on Ugadi, Diwali, Kannada Rajyotsava and other festivals to promote rich cultural heritage of Karnataka.
