Bank of Baroda opens new branches in UAE

Dubai : The UAE branches of Bank of Baroda were inaugurated at glittering ceremony  held  at the JW Mariette Hotel at Dubai to coincide with the annual customers’ conference of the bank. The branches of the Bank at Al Shabia in Abu Dhabi, Crystal Plaza at Sharjah and Jebel Ali were inaugurated on the occasion.

Addressing the media men on the occasion, SS Mundra, Chairman and Managing Director of Bank of Baroda outlined the progress registered by the Bank over the years. He also stated that the Bank has several schemes keeping in mind the best interests of its customers.

He said the Bank has already appealed to the UAE Finance minister to permit it to open more branches in UAE and added the talks were in progress.

He said the bank has set up over 5700 ATMs in India so far and added top priority has been given to the safety of customers making use of the services at ATM Kiosks.

Ramamurthi, Chief Executive Officer of GCC Affairs, Savitha, AGM of Abu Dhabi Branch of Bank of Baroda.  Mehrotra, GCC Affairs Officer,  Naresh Gupta, Chief of BoB Deira Branch and others were present.

The Annual Customers Conference of the Bank  was held later on.  Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister for Culture, Youth Services and Community Development of UAE, TP Seetaram, Indian Ambassador in UAE, SS Mundra, Chief of Bank of Baroda and others were present as chief guests.

The UAE Minister, H H Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan who spoke on the occasion, said the UAE is happy to note that the Bank of Baroda has opened braches in the nation. He also assured all cooperation from the administration to the Bank.

Dr BR Shetty, NRI entrepreneur and Chairman of UAE Exchange, Sudhir Kumar Shetty, Chief Executive Officer of UAE Exchange, and several others were present.

There was a laser flute show, classical dance and a musical programme by Indian Idol winner Abhijith Savanth and troupe, as part of cultural programmes.
