Bunts from Karnataka & Maharashtra remarke second annual day - 3 min read

Qatar: The rich heritage group of culture and tradition of Bunts hailing from Coastal part of Karnataka and Maharashtra celebrated the second annual day on Friday 28 at the Al Maha Boys Academy in Doha.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The program began with songs by guest artistes Anitha D’souza and Prahlad Bhat, from Mangalore wherein the welcome dance was choreographed by Dimple and performed by Bunt kids and Bunts Ladies Chaitali Shetty, Chaitali Suhas, Akshaya Shetty, Dhanlakshmi Rai and Shilpa Shetty.

Popular Kannada writer, columnist, activist and a well-known Bunt Dr Narendra Rai Derla graced the occasion as a Chief Guest. President Ravi Shetty and Vice – President Prakashchandra Ajila escorted the chief guest Dr Narendra Rai to the dais. General secretary Navneeth Shetty, cultural secretary Akshatha Hegde was also present on the dais.

President Ravi Shetty gave the keynote addressed and lauded his voice for the team spirit by his fellow members and all well-wishers. Prakashchandra Ajila introduces the chief guest to the audience, which was followed by honouring the chief guest Dr Narendra Rai by Ravi Shetty.

Dr Narendra Rai delivered the message to the community on serving the people who are really in need and build up the society in unity.
The BSQ felicitated Sreedhar Nayak with ‘Seva Sampada’ award for his outstanding community service in Qatar, meanwhile Tulukoota Qatar president Seetharam Shetty appreciated Sreedhar Nayak for his great contribution in social activities.

The first committee members of BSQ President Ravi shetty, Vice president Prakashchandra agila, General Secretary Navneet Sheety, Cultural Secretary Akshatha Hegde, Sports Secretary Udaya Shetty, joint secretary Roshan shetty, Ladies coordinator Vijaya shetty, Treasurer Dhananjay Shetty honoured with Memento and appreciated their great serve to the community from past two year.

The “Bale Telipale” famed artistes Sandeep, Merwin and Prasanna had the audience in tickles and giggles by their outstanding performance.

KSQ president Deepak Shetty, MCC president Sunil D’Silva, Tulu Koota Qatar president Seetharam Shetty, SKMS president Abdul Majeed, former president of Tulu Koota Qatar and ICBF members Ramchandra Shetty, Vivian Dsouza, Arun Kumar, Aravind Patil, V.S.Mannangi, Nagesh Rao, Sudheer Kumar, Mahesh Gowda and other prominent community leaders, office-bearers and members of various Karnataka-based associations in Qatar too were present on the occasion.

The whole program was compered by multi talented and charismatic Dr Padmashree Shetty and Cultural Secretary Akshatha Hegde delivered Vote of thanks.
