Dubai, Mar 30: Mogaveers UAE, an association of Mogaveer community in UAE celebrated their fifth annual day celebrations at Crown Plaza Hotel, Deira Dubai, here on Friday March 29. Indian Ambassador to UAE M K Lokesh was the chief guest of the occasion.
Udupi based G Shankar Family Trust chairman G Shankar, Mogaveer Vyavastapaka Mandali – Mumbai vice president Sanjeev K Salian, Mogaveer Mahajan Seva Sangh – Bagwady president entrepreneur Suresh Kanchan, Yojaka Private Limited director Jagdish Boloor, Mogaveers UAE president Lokesh V Putran were present at the dais.
Ambassador M K Lokesh inaugurated the programme along with all dignitaries by lighting the lamp.
Speaking on the occasion, Ambassador Lokesh said that Mogaveers UAE is well known in UAE for their yeoman service to humanity. The community has been actively involved in organizing blood donation camp and other social welfare activities, said Ambassador Lokesh.
G Shankar briefed on the social welfare activities that are undertaken for the progress of Mogaveer community in Udupi. He also urged Mogaveers UAE to extend their support in order to reach out to more people of community, urged G Shankar.
Kadala Siri, a handbook on the social welfare activities undertaken by Mogaveers UAE was released at the same occasion.
The prizes were distributed to the winners of annual sports during the programme.
Save Us, a skit on saving female fetus that was directed by Shodan Prasad was the highlight of cultural show held after the stage programme.
A large number of Mogaveer community in UAE, including entrepreneurs Praveen Shetty, Harish Serigar, Satish Venkataramana, Shekar Shetty, James Mendonca, Herman Lewis, Sarvottam Shetty were present through the celebrations.
