Dubai: The Emirates Pangalites, UAE, are organizing a drawing competition for the children under the age group from 4-12 and also special – children on Friday, May 30 at 2pm at “Happy Home Nursery” Karama in Dubai.
This will be the Fourth time that a drawing competition will be held. The Competition received a good response from Parents and Children during the previous three editions. A new category has been added to bring out the talents of special care children.
The objectives of the drawing Competition are to provide an opportunity to children to compete and show their talents, to create awareness of the changing world, to discover and display their hidden talents and to motivate the budding artists to blossom in the field of the art.
The competition will be held in three regular groups and a separate group for special – children. The segregation will be done according to the age, for children between 4 – 6, the type will be, “Outline will be given” with the Crayons; for children between the age of 7 – 9 the type will be, “Save the Earth” with Color Pencils; for children between10-12, the type will be, “What I Dream For” with Water Color, whereas for Special need children (no age bar) any creative ideas or materials can be used.
Rules & Regulations:
1. Competition is open to all Mangalorean/Goan Children.
2. Registration will be restricted to first 100 entries only for all the three categories.
3. Last date of registration will be on 24th May 2014.
4. All participants should report to the venue half an hour prior to the competition.
5. Only one drawing per participant to be submitted.
6. Stationery (colors, rubber, pencils) to be brought by the participants. No borrowing or lending will be entertained.
7. Drawing papers will be provided by the organizers at the venue.
8. Nature of the drawings should be strictly related to the subject given.
9. Drawings received will not be returned.
10. Best three drawings in each category will be awarded along with two consolation prizes.
11. Participants should abide to all the rules and regulations laid by the organizers.
12. Decision of the judges will be treated as final.

Registered children will be notified via emails regarding the status of their registration. The registered children will only be allowed to participate in the competition. The results of the competition will be declared on the same day before 5.30 pm. The Prize Distribution will be held at the venue shortly after the competition.
