Dubai: Gammath Kalavider UAE, an eminent amateur Tulu drama troupe has performed overwhelmingly successful drams such as Dinesh Attavar’s ‘Ee… Porludaye..?’ in 2012, J.A Boloor’s ‘Porlu Toovade’ in 2013, on now they are set to showcase yet another Tulu comedy and social drama ‘Porlu Thuper’ on January 17 at 6pm.
The drama has been written by Bale telipaale famous well-known drama writer, director and artist Nellu Permannur, it will be directed by Vishwanath Shetty it will be staged at at Sheikh Rashid Auditorium, Indian High School Dubai, to mark the 3rd anniversary of Gammath Kalavider UAE. .
Last year Gammath Kalavider extended their committed service to the society by donating Rupees 5, 00,000 from surplus of Tulu drama “Porlu Toovade” show to Spoorthi Dhama, a charitable organisation
which is a dedicated organization for uplifting unfortunate children and women of society. As decided
earlier Matha Lakshani Shanthidham, Old Age home based in Bantwal Taluk will be the beneficiary of this year’s show.
Vasu Shetty, Chief Convenor of Gammath Kalavider UAE, has requested all Tulu drama lovers, supporters and sponsors to support the upcoming Tulu drama and be the part of happiness of the helpless and elderly citizens of Matha Lakshani Shanthidham, a vridhashrama based in Bantwal Taluk, Dakshina Kannada.
