Help : Nitaqat law dislocates 300 Indians at Saudi

Saudi Arabia: The Nitaqat (naturalization) law, reserving a percent of private jobs for the locals, has affected many semi-skilled workers belonging to India in Saudi. The Centre should have asked the government of Saudi Arabia to give a six-month or more official pardon to the affected expatriates.

Due to the implication of this law there are Indians with no Iqama, moreover since 3 to 4 months they are sleeping in a garden, near batha at Khazan Street
Around 300 people have sheltered themselves in the garden, while few volunteers from IFF and Dhira locals are serving them with basic necessities and are helping them to return to India. Almost 40 people have returned to India, there still plenty in need of financial help for their tickets and other documentation work.
Help is also needed with food supplies, basic amenities such as blankets or jackets. If you would like to help financially you may contact Yathiraj – 0545680406.
