Abu Dhabi: ISC “Boogie Woogie” Cinematic Group Dance Competition 2016 was conducted at ISC on Thursday, November 10.
As many as 26 teams consisting of 210 children from all over UAE participated in the competition in three age group categories. The list of winners is as follows:
• Group-A: Below 10 Years: Winner- Ananya Arun & Team, 1st Runner-up- Anamika & Team and 2nd Runner-up- Adith & Team
• Group-B: 10-15 Years: Winner- Nirja Kumar & Team, 1st Runner-up- Sanjana Parigi & Team and 2nd Runner-up- Ashaz & Team
• Group-C: Above 15 Years: Winner- Hari & Team, 1st Runner-up- Firos Babu & Team and 2nd Runner-up- Gayathri S & Team
Best Dancer Awards were won by Vidhi Rakshi, Karthik Banarji and Manasa, Best Choreographer Awards were won by Gafoor Vatakara, Dr. Asha Nair and Hari and Best Costume Awards were won by Adith & Team, Nirja Kumar & Team and Manasa & Team, in the three respective categories.
Attractive prize money, trophies and certificates were presented to the winners. The judgment was done by an elite panel of judges consisting of famed Cine Choreographer Sujatha Master, noted Feature Film Director Ajay Vasudev and the Actress/Anchor Ramya Krishna.
The competition was coordinated by ISC Entertainment Secretary Jojo J Ambooken, ISC General Secretary John P. Varghese welcomed the gathering, ISC Acting President Rajan Zachariah gave the presidential address and the vote of thanks was delivered by Assistant Entertainment Secretary KTP Ramesh. Other Managing Committee members, distinguished guests and a large audience attended the function.
