Karnataka Sangha Qatar felicitates Bengaluru based world Motorcycle traveller

Doha: Karnataka Sangha Qatar (KSQ), a front line community organization in Qatar, affiliated to the ICC, felicitated BV Narayan, a Bengaluru based Motor cyclist who is in Qatar on his ‘world travel for a cause’ project. The felicitation ceremony was held on 28th October evening at the Kolkata Hall-ICC, a day after he arrived in the city.
Ladies wing coordinator Kruthika introduced BV Narayan, while President HK Madhu, Senior Vice President Venkat Rao, and Advisory chairman Deepak Shetty,  escorted the  guest to  the dais . BV Narayan was presented a  with a shawl and Mysuru Peta. A donation has been issued to BV Narayan for his new adventurous project from KSQ charity fund.

BV Narayan, a 65 year old has bravely taken on this social service project during which he plans to travel through many countries with the message “ Avoid Handicap in future”. He started this project in Feb.2015. He reached Doha via Saudi Arabia. He will be there in Qatar for eight  days more.

In 1970 he traveled 90,000 KM and 55 countries creating awareness about organ donation, with the message  “Donate  organs  after death”. Sharing his experiences with Newskarnataka,  he said,  “before it was so easy to travel to any country,  but now a day’s it’s very difficult to finish the formalities”. He recalled the many kind hearts from world  over. He also shared information on some of his inventions, especially those he had made for handicapped people.

BV Narayan cautioned against drinking and driving and highlighted other social messages in relation to his main message “Avoid Handicap” that he carries on his travels – “ Issue Polio drops on time to Infants”, “Avoid Accidents”, “Avoid blood relation marriages”, “Donate Organs after death”, which will minimize the numbers of handicapped in society. He said he would visit  Bahrain, Kuwait, Iraq, Turkey via Europe and Africa spreading his message and thanked KSQ for their  encouragement.

Ladies wing coordinator Kruthika compered the program and Venkat Rao proposed a Vote of Thanks.
