Dubai : Konkan Bells, an organization of Christian community members of Belthangady deanery of Mangalore Diocese, settled in UAE, will be organizing a blood donation camp on July 18 at the blood donation department of the Al Vasal Hospital of Dubai.
Remezius D’Souza, President of Konkani Bells, who informed this to media said there has been a shortage of blood donors in UAE during the holy month of Ramadan. In order to avoid inconvenience to patients for want of blood, the Konkan Bells has embarked upon this noble initiative, he said.
The blood donation camp will be held from 7 pm onwards on July 18, he said adding members and other well wishers can participate in this camp and donate blood.
As blood donation is a noble deed wherein a healthy person contributes to the well being of an ailing person, he said and requested Konkani Bell members to participate in the camp.
