Dubai: Coming together is a beginning, keeping together is progress, working together is success…and when Kulshekarites work to have fun together, there is true success and happiness everywhere!!
The 4th annual get together organized by Kulshekar Friends , UAE, on Friday, 27th Nov, 2015 at Zabeel Park was truly wonderful. There was an enthralling crowd, all being keen and enthusiastic to take part in the whole day event.
Mr. Clifford Rodricks, from Kulshekar Friends, UAE welcomed the gathering. The event began by invoking God’s blessings and Miss Calisha Noronha led the gathering in prayer. Thereafter, it was pure entertainment with some lucky games, group games and spot games. There was a flood of games flowing in sequence like lucky person game, SMS game, raffle draws, frog race, logo games, potato race, housie-housie etc. Traditional Mangalorean games like lagori, tug of war and breaking the pot were the main attractions of the day. The children, youth and elders were all engrossed in the fun filled activities. There were a number of spot games which fetched handsome prizes to the winners.
Mr. Leslie Noronha honored all the sponsors for their relentless support towards the event. Mr. Ramcy Fernandes was felicitated for his outstanding achievement and dedication towards our Konkani community.
The program was ably compered by Mrs. Carol D’souza, Mr. Rajesh Sequeira and Mrs. Karishma Vas. Miss Ashlyn D’souza proposed the vote of thanks. Special and sincere thanks were rendered to all the committee members, as their weeks of preparation and hard work culminated in the successful celebration. A big thanks was also announced for all present for the event – for their support and being a part of the whole day program!
The sportive spirit among all the members helped in adding more charm to this event. It was a well conceptualized event, which ended on a happy note. Special goodies for children (Santa had arrived!) and also family takeaways (donated by generous sponsors) were distributed. Everyone went home with gifts, smiles, new friends and rich memories.
All in all, the hard work put in by the members came in for a special praise from the large gathering. As said often, all that is well planned with noble intentions, bear’s fruit hundredfold.
