Dubai: Maxim Ferrao, an active Shirva parishioner, residing in Dubai, has been elected as the president of USWAS (UAE’s St Mary’s Welfare Association, Shirva).
In a meeting recently held in Dubai, the committee members of USWAS gathered to elect the new managing committee for the year 2016.
The meeting started at 4.30 pm with prayer. President Herald Mathias welcomed all the committee members after which the election began.
Following the election the outgoing office-bearers thanked all the committee members and the members of USWAS for their cooperation and requested everyone to work together for better unity and strengthening of the association.
Newly-elected president Maxim Ferrao asked all the committee members for their full cooperation and assured to do his best for the unity and to continuance of the good work that has been done these past years.

To celebrate its 14 years of existence, USWAS will celebrate ‘Vodlem Fest-2016’ on February 5 at Sheraton Deira Hotel from 10.30 am to 5.00 pm. It is an annual event of the association and will be open to all. More details to be announced soon.
