Dubai: The final and sixth episode of Christmas Carols, organized by Spearhead Media Pvt. Ltd. (Parent company of News Karnataka. com) on the occasion of Christmas season, was aired on Wednesday, December 23.
The show was compered by main programme host CA Valerian Dalmaida and co-host Rajesh Sequeira live from Dubai.
Four carol singing teams were featured during the show: Team Howz Dubai Stars, Team Concordia from Udupi, Team Immaculate Heart of Mary Church from Kuppepadavu, and Team Santa’s Crew from Mangaluru.
The judges for the show were Rohan Correa, a musician, and one of the founders of Konkani Prayer Group and Anita Serrao, music composer and singer.

During the show, both the judges watched the videos submitted by the teams. Speaking about the first team, they said the song was well-sung and the combination of guitar and keyboard was excellent. About the second team, the judges said that it was a well-coordinated effort and noted it was the first team to use Latin in their multi-lingual rendition. Judges noted that the third team’s performance had some problems. The music sounded well but the tempo was a bit slow. They were impressed by the fourth team’s performance as they didn’t have enough time for thorough practice.
Towards the end, the host thanked the judges and the teams for their participation and signed off the show.
Results will be announced on December 27. The winner will be awarded a cash prize of INR 9,000 whereas the runner up will receive INR 6,000 and the second runner will get INR 3,000 cash prize.
