Abu Dhabi: India Social & Cultural Centre organized the 5th ISC Open Athletic Meet at Armed Officers Club on Friday, November 18. It was a grand success with over 350 children representing major schools and clubs from all over U.A.E participating in the events.
Abu Dhabi Indian School won the overall championship for both boys and girls. The Model School, Abu Dhabi was the runner up for boys section and Blue Star Academy Al Ain was the runner’s up for girls section.
The competition was conducted in 68 events in 8 different age categories, ranging from below 6 years to above 40.
NMC Health Care was the main sponsor while the support sponsors were OGES InfoTech, Perfect Cargo Solutions, ART, Finesse, ADMMI, Coconut Lagoon Restaurant, Roadstar Rent A Car and Bat & Ball.
Hon. Sports Secretary Nizar and Hon. Asst. Sports Secretary Prakash Thampi led the event with the guidance of Hon. President Thomas Varghese and Hon. General Secretary John P. Varghese. An organizing committee headed by Ziad Kamarudheen and Outdoor Sports Section Secretary Younus, was very actively involved in conducting the event and helped to make it a huge success.
