Dubai, Apr 8: The community Satyanarayan puja was held at J S S Private School, Al Satwa, here with great fervor on Friday April 5 from 4.00pm to 9.00pm.
The Vedic celebrant Jayaprakash Nidwannaya who arrived from Mumbai performed the religious rites at the occasion.
Gururaj Acharya and Pavitra Acharya, the office bearers of different Kannadiga organizations were present.
The devotional singing was held at the Mittaqbail Giridar Nayak and Yermal Raghavendra Poojary . Tekkatte Anand S Bhargav assisted in harmonium, Shankar in violin, Raghu in table and Sunil Nayak in mrudangam.
Manjula Ganesh Rai, Kasturi Keshav Mallya, Smita Ashok, Riya Bangera and Subhadra Prameela were offered with ‘Baagina’ during the religious celebrations.
Vidwan Jayaprakash Nidwannaya was felicitated at the same occasion.
The free food offerings were held at 9.00pm on Friday.
Rajesh Kuttar and friends decorated the stage, while Prasad Rai provided the lighting system. Satish Poojary had sent SMS to invite the devotees.
Swadist Restaurant, Karma, here offered free food offerings to ne 1,000 devotees.
Shantaram Achar compered the programme.
