Four children sustained injuries on Saturday when a plaster ceiling collapsed at an Anganwadi in Dasarahosahalli village, Kolar district, Karnataka. The injured children, identified as Likhita, Parinitha, Sanvi, and Charitha, were immediately taken to a hospital for medical treatment.
Child Development Officer Muniraju assured that swift action would be taken to restore and ensure the safety of Anganwadi buildings across the district. “The safety of these facilities will be our priority,” he stated.
Congress MLA N. Narayanswami visited the site to inspect the damage and expressed concern over the incident. He emphasized the need for urgent attention to infrastructure in childcare centers to prevent similar mishaps in the future.
