Jayashree Ramaiah, actress and former Bigg Boss Kannada contestant, was found dead on Monday, January 25 afternoon. She was reportedly found hanging at an old age home on Magadi Road in Bengaluru.
It can be recalled that a few months ago, she had stated that she is struggling with depression and wanted to end her life.
On July 22, 2020, the actress had posted on Facebook, “I quit. Goodbye to this f*****g world and depression.”
Again on July 25, the actress went live on social media saying that she is “not doing this for publicity” and is only “expecting death” as she is not able to battle her depression.
This had alarmed her fans and well-wishers about her safety.
Sandalwood star Kichcha Sudeep, who is also the anchor of Bigg Boss Kannada, had tried to help her come out of depression.
Her death has shocked the Sandalwood industry and many Kannada celebrities have mourned her passing.
Meanwhile, a case has been registered at the Magadi Road Police Station in this regard.
Jayashree acted in several Kannada movies and serials.
