Bengaluru: Several Kannada organisations have approached the Karnataka Film Chamber Of Commerce, urging a ban on the screening of movies of Kirik beauty Rashmika Mandanna. They have alleged that she has insulted the Kannada language.
All started with the allegations that Rashmika has made a few anti-Kannada language statements in an interview recently. However, many say that the actor has not made any such statements. “It is wrong to blame Rashmika. She didn’t say anything about the Kannada language,” informed a film industry insider.
The complaint is lodged in the name of Kannada Sanghatane, which claimed it is the umbrella organisation of several like-minded organisations. But film chamber sources confirmed to Newskarnataka that there is no proposal of banning the screening of Rashmika’s movies in the state.
