Shivamogga: A total of 18,799 students will be answering their second PU English exam across 33 centres located in different taluks in the Shivamogga district.
As per the schedule, the exam will be held on June 18. According to the guidelines, measures have already been taken to sanitize all the exam centres. The chief superintendent of the exam centres has already been asked to take all precautionary measures to curb the spread of Covid-19.
The students will be allowed to write the exams only after undergoing a thermal scan, informed Department of Pre University Education Deputy Director Nagaraj V Kagalkar.
Separate rooms have been arranged for those students who will be arriving from containment zones. A total of 372 students from the Shivamogga district will be writing the exams in other districts and a total of 791 students from other districts will be writing the exam in the Shivamogga district as there is an opportunity to write exams in their native districts, informed Nagaraj.
Meanwhile, Nagaraj informed that both private and KSRTC buses have been arranged to transport the students to and from different areas to the exam centres.
