Shivamogga: Former MLA KB Prasanna Kumar questioned if only 3 to 6 people were involved in the Hunasodu blast which happened earlier this year.
At a press conference held here, he said that journalists who want to visit the site of the explosion are still being restricted. “This gives a feeling that Shivamogga is under a dictatorship,” he said.
Come March 21, it will be 60 days since the Hunasodu blast occurred, he said and added that “Other than Sudhakar, Narasimha, Mumtaz Ahmed and Rasheed, no accused has been arrested yet. So the large explosion happened only in Avinash’s crusher”? he questioned.
“Four vehicles were burnt in the explosion. Did only Avinash’s crusher had explosive material? The authorities need to clarify at least this,” he demanded.
He further said that as long as the district ministers are on the defensive, the blast cannot be investigated and hence a high court judge investigation or CBI probe needs to be put in place for case to proceed logically, he opined.
