Heavy rain lashes Malnad region

Shivamogga: The torrential downpour from past three days has increased the water levels of the Tunga river.

On Thursday June 17, 21500 cusecs of water have flowed into the Tunga reservoir of Gajanur.

Sringeri, situated in the Tunga basin has witnessed 125mm of rain while Kigga has 169.20mm of rain.
Similarly, Hariharpur has witnessed 80 mm of rainfall, while Kammarady 155.6 mm and Tirthahalli 77.2 mm have witnessed rainfall.

Water levels in the Tunga River has increased due to heavy rainfall in the reservoir.
