Medical student stuck at Hidalamane waterfall rescued successfully

Shivamogga: A tourist stuck at a height of 80 ft at a waterfall, here in Kodachadri was successfully rescued by the wildlife officials and the fire personnel after a five-hour-long operation, on Sunday.

Amogh, 29, a medical student from Hasan had come to Hidlamane waterfall at Kodachadri in Shivamogga along with a few friends on Saturday evening. After staying in a homestay, on Sunday morning they left to Hidlamane waterfall.

Three of them, including Amogh started climbing the rocky surface near the waterfall. However, while two of them managed to get down, Amogh got stuck at a height of 80 ft. He could neither climb forward nor return from the spot.

Soon the fire personnel and forest officials were intimated about the situation. They plunged into action and after five long hours, the youth was rescued.
