Chitradurga: A tragic incident unfolded in Kundalagur village, located in Hiriyur taluk of Chitradurga district, when a heated argument between a father and son escalated into violence, resulting in the father’s death. The victim, Rangaswamy, 50, was allegedly killed by his son, Devaraj, 30, during a dispute that started over not receiving eggs.

The conflict intensified as Devaraj vented his frustration regarding his father’s failure to arrange a marriage for him. In a fit of rage, Devaraj assaulted Rangaswamy, leading to severe injuries that ultimately proved fatal. Following the incident, Rangaswamy’s other son, Abhishekh, promptly reported the matter to the Abbinahole police.
