
South Asia’s Largest Cardiology Hospital to Open in Kalaburagi
Kalaburagi: The much-awaited Jayadeva Institute of Cardiology and Research branch in Kalaburagi is set to be inaugurated on Sunday, December 22, by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. This project, envisioned during his previous tenure (2013-2018), was spearheaded by Dr. Sharan Prakash Patil, showcasing the government’s commitment to advancing healthcare in the Kalyana Karnataka region.
Strategically located opposite SM Pandit Rang Mandir on Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Road, the state-of-the-art 371-bed facility has been built at a cost of ₹262.2 crore. It is now the largest cardiology center in South Asia under the Jayadeva Heart Institute banner, dedicated to offering advanced heart care services.
The hospital’s “Treatment First, Payment Next” philosophy underscores its commitment to accessible and patient-first healthcare. Residents from Kalaburagi, Koppal, Bidar, Yadgir, Ballari, and Raichur districts stand to benefit immensely from this modern medical facility, which aims to bring quality cardiac care to their doorsteps.
The institute’s completion is a testament to unwavering dedication and meticulous planning, addressing the growing need for specialized healthcare in the region. This initiative reaffirms the government’s resolve to enhance health infrastructure and provide comprehensive medical services for the people of Kalyana Karnataka.
