Bengaluru: Actress-turned-politician Shruthi has been removed as chairperson of the Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation (KSTDC).
An order in this regard was issued on Sunday late evening. She is replaced by Kapu Siddalinga Swamy, a one-time close aide of CM B. S. Yediyurappa.
Shurthi’s removal from the post comes as a shocker for the BJP leaders. Rebel leader C. P. Yogeshwar is the State Tourism Minister. Reports state that Swamy’s appointment has been made without his consent.
