Prem’s “The Villain” is now involved in another controversy. The film has been cleared by the Central Board of Film Certification but, is caught in a dispute over whether it should be rated ‘A’ or ‘U/A’. The CBFC has agreed to certify the film as ‘U/A’, provided that the director is ready to cut certain scenes. However, Prem refuses to get rid of those scenes as he fears it may reduce the film’s value.

The film, starring Shivrajkumar, Sudeep and Amy Jackson, reportedly has a lot of bloodshed in two fight scenes, which is not suitable for children. Prem is upset with this development as an ‘A’ certificate means that children cannot accompany their parents to watch the film. He has now decided to approach the revising committee.

Meanwhile, Prem has asked fans to wait for some time for the official announcement of the release date. The film was earlier scheduled to release on September 13. Now, after the certification issue, the film may be postponed by a week or two.
