Bengaluru: Re-release is current trend in the film industry. Earlier, films used to be re-released once in a while. Especially films that made a lot of noise and those made good box office collection were re-released.
But now it is certain that at least one film will be re-released in a month. Especially in Telugu, the vintage hit films of the big stars were re-released on the occasion of their birthdays. Interestingly, these films also earned crores of rupees.
Knowing that vintage films are also earning, teluzgu film producers and distributors decided to re-release more films. While some films have been re-released to make money, others have been re-released to entertain people as per the occasion.
Now a similar experiment is being made in Kannada. Actor Diganth starrer ‘Lifu ishtene’ is all set to re-release. Pawan Kumar’s 2011 directorial debut Lifu Isthane is all set to re-release in selected theatres on February 10.
Director Pawan Kumar shared a post and wrote, “Lifu Ishtene is being re-released on the occasion of Valentine’s Day.”
