Sharan, who graduated from playing supporting role to the lead role, is on the cloud nine. Sharan’s latest film Nataraja Service is scheduled for release on October 21. Nataraja Service went to the floors on Dasara festival last year. The specialty of Nataraja Service is its producer N S Rajkumar is able to sell the distribution rights and also announced one more film with the same team. Expressing happiness over the success of Nataraja Service, Sharan explains to Y Maheswara Reddy how he is eagerly waiting to watch it along with cine-goers on October 21.

How do you feel about your performance in Nataraja Service?

I am not the only hero in this film. There are many artistes in this film. I cannot ignore their contribution. Mayuri, the heroine in this film, has given her best while acting in this film. Anoop Seelin, who scored music, has also contributed a lot. Choreographer Murali has also done excellent job. Ravi Shankar has also contributed a lot. Finally, I cannot forget the contribution of director Pavan Wadeyar.

What is the meaning of Nataraja Service?

Generally we consider Nataraja Service as a walk by a person who has no other means to reach his destination. Majority of the artistes had to walk a long distance since its shooting was held in forest area. The long walk in forest area made director Pavan Wadeyar to shed more than 10 kgs of weight. I have nothing to lose by walking a long distance since I am an underweight.

Nataraja Service is scheduled for release on October 21. As a hero, most of your films were a huge success at the box office. What are your expectations from this film?

I am feeling like a student who is set to appear for an important exam. Every film is like an exam for me. Though I am under tremendous pressure, I am confident of its success at the box-office. It has all the elements, including comedy and emotion, to make the cine-goers happy. I am playing the role of a youth working at a road-side tea stall who falls in love with a girl.

You are known for promoting bottle-culture in films through song sequences. Can cine-goers, especially your hard-core fans, expect similar elements in this film?

No. This film does not have such song sequences. I do not want to do stereotype roles in films. Though youth like such song sequences, I am afraid of being ended up playing stereotype roles. There are occasions where some of my fans calling me over the phone and appreciating such song sequences.
