Huge confusion prevailed in Sandalwood when makers of “Nataraja Service” announced that all the theatres screening the film will take Rs 500 and Rs 1000. However, former president of KFCC and exhibitor Thomas D’Souza has come out open on this issue and said, “Some rumours are being spread that single screens will accept these notes for certain films. It is not possible. Audience should not be misled. This will lead to serious problems.”
Exhibitors in Karnataka have clarified that the demonetised Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes are not being accepted at the box office. They will officially clarify the issue on Thursday evening in a press meet after consistent rumours to the contrary.

The business of Kannada films have suffered a huge blow due to demonetisation.
