The state award-winning film “Jeerjimbe” is all set to release this Friday. Directed by Karthik Saragur, the film is about a young girl who is forced to get married. She takes her bicycle and sets off on a journey. The bicycle plays a pivotal part in the film.
The film, which is made under Beehive Productions in collaboration with Pushkar Films, has music by Charan Raj.
In the 2016 Karnataka State Film Awards, the film won four awards, the most for any film in that year. It won Best Children’s Film (2016), Best Lyricist for Karthik Saragur (2016), Best Music for Charan Raj (2016) and Best Child Actor for Siri Vanalli (2016).
With the state awards under its belt, the film has already got critical acclaim. The film is expected to create a good buss around it. In the past few months, we have seen content oriented films doing well at box office. “Jeerjimbe” is also expected to join the list soon.
