Yash-Radhika’s “Santhu Straight Forward” is marching forward doing excellent collections at the box office. However, from the day of release, certain Kannada news channels are seen degrading the film and also calling it a flop. This seems to be a revenge tactic by the news channels, as Yash had given statements against news channels for connecting Cauvery issue and farmers’ suicide issue with actors.
Commenting about this, “Santhu Straight Forward” producer K Manju said in a press meet held recently, “The film is doing extremely well. But some media are telecasting negative reports about the film. It is the question of a producer’s life. If there is personal problem, it should not affect me or the film. Personal differences and reports about the film should be separate. It is high time our Kannada news channels stop degrading Kannada films.”
The decision to release in less number of screens in paying dividends for the film. The collections of the film has been rock steady in weekdays, which would not have been the condition if it was released in more number of screens.
