It’s official at last. Yash has announced that his dream project, which is directed by Prashant Neel will be releasing on November 16. The film will release in Kannada, Tamil and Telugu on the same day. It will later be released in Hindi as well as Malayalam. The film is ready to be presented to the Censor Board soon.
The film touted be a period drama set in the 80s, will see Yash playing the character Rocky. It also stars model-turned-heroine, Srinidhi Shetty, who will make her tinsel town debut. Tamannaah Bhatia will also be making a special appearance in a song. The film has Bhuvan Gowda’s cinematography, Shivakumar’s artwork and Ravi Basur’s music.
The film has been in the making for long. It is being said that the second part of the film has already been shot and that film will be released earlier next year. However, all these seem to be rumours and nothing has been confirmed. Made under Hombale Films, the makers seem to have selected a perfect release date. The film will release one week after Deepavali, wherein big films of other languages like “Thugs of Hindostan” and “Sarkaar” will release. “KGF” will have two open weeks and then “Robo 2” will release.
As the film will be releasing in three languages, the makers decided that this is the perfect release date. The film will be released in maximum number of screens. Therefore they will be trying to get maximum shows as possible in the first two weeks and recover the money.
