After becoming a sleeper hit in the Kannada film industry, “Love Mocktail” is all set to be remade in the Telugu language.
Popular Kannada director Nagashekar of “Mynaa” and “Sanju Weds Geetha fame” is set to direct the Telugu version of the film and has already bought the Telugu rights and will produce it.
Nagashekar is planning to rope in popular actors from the Tollywood for the film. He is very confident of the content working in Telugu cinema.
His last directorial in Kannada was “Amar” and is currently debuting in the Tamil film industry with “November Mazhaiyil Naanum Avalum”. The film has Nagashekar as the hero, producer and director.
Rumours are also abuzz that the film is a remake of his last directorial “Amar”, but nothing has been confirmed by the team.
“Love Mocktail” was directed by Krishna, who also played the lead opposite Milana Nagaraj, who also produced the film.
The film performed poorly in the first week at the box office, but due to good word of mouth, it started to pick up in the second week and ended up becoming one of the biggest hits. The film was out on the online streaming platform Amazon Prime after few days of its release, but it was still running to house-full in theatres.
Even though Covid 19 put an end to the film’s run in theatres, it was a big hit on Amazon Prime.
