Bengaluru: The controversial crime thriller Dandupalya producer will be working on a sequel aptly titled Dandupalya 2, soon. The first time director Srinivas Raju who has cast Pooja Gandhi in the movie, will be once again working with her for a second time.
When the film was declared a hit, the team had decided to do a sequel, however that project stood delayed as all the actors connected with the project are fulfilling other commitments.
The team, however, is still in touch and the makers have cast their lucky mascot in their latest film Kathe Chitrakathe Nirdeshana Puttanna, albeit in a guest role.
Says Srinivas Raju, “We all share good camaraderie and working on Dandupalya and tasting success with it had indeed got us thinking about the sequel. But Pooja being cast in a guest role in Kathe Chitrakathe Nirdeshana Puttanna had nothing to do with Dandupalya. She fit the role to the T so much so that not only was she our first choice, we also could not have found a better person to play this role.”
