Yash’s much expected “Santhu Straight Forward” has got Rs 3.5 crores on it’s first day. The box office collection is less compared to his last release “Masterpiece”. However, it was expected as the film was released only in 235 screens. The film also had less shows in multiplexes as it clashed with “Mukunda Murari”.
The film has got good reviews. Even though some Kannada news channels are spreading bad reviews of the film due to Yash’s statements on Kannada news channels recently, it has not affected the film’s collection. The audience word of mouth is very good. It is not as good as “Mr & Mrs Ramachari”, but better than “Masterpiece”.
The film does not ave a great story, but entertaining screenplay makes the film a must watch. The pre-climax and climax portion is a big boost for the film. The unexpected twist in the climax has made the film a delight.
