The shoot for Yash-starrer “KGF: Chapter 2” will reportedly resume from August 26.
In an interview with Hindustan Times, the film’s creative producer Karthik Gowda informed that the shoot will resume from August 26 in Bengaluru. In another interview with Cinema Express, he said that the shoot will resume from the third or fourth week of August. He added that strict guidelines will be instituted on the sets and the technicians will temporarily be camped at a hotel nearby and won’t be allowed to go out until the schedule is completed. The measures are being taken as a precaution against COVID-19.
Bollywood heavyweights Sanjay Dutt and Raveena Tandon play pivotal roles in the film. While Dutt will be playing the role of Adheera, Tandon will play a politician.
Dutt was recently diagnosed with stage three lung cancer and there is a possibility that he will travel to the US for treatment. He will be taking a break from work so that he can undergo treatment.
According to the film team, Dutt has completed the majority of his portions and has just three days of shoot left. In total, the film, which was supposed to have begun shooting last week, has 24 days of shoot left. The team will shoot for around 15 days and the rest of the portions will be shot after a break.
The film, which has been directed by Prashanth Neel, who has also written the story, screenplay and dialogues, has Yash and Srinidhi Shetty in the lead. Rumours also suggest that Easwari Rao, who made a comeback to the industry with Rajinikanth’s “Kaala”, has been roped in to play a crucial role.
“KGF: Chapter 2” is being produced by Vijay Kiragandur under his banner Hombale Films. Ravi Basrur is the music director, Bhuvan Gowda is the cinematographer, and Shivakumar is the art director.
